CONNECTOR FOR BRICK KILN

Completed January 25, 2010

Used to ensure a safe removal of bricks from kilns, this connector was originally made from polypropylene, though continually broke on an annual basis - a significant safety hazard.

Afaridan Plastics reassessed the design of the connector, and suggested using glass-filled nylon instead of polypropylene to improve mechanical strength.

The design, tooling and injection moulding were all done in-house.

The client has since never had to replace their connectors, saving them time from the need for replacements and improving workplace efficiency and safety.
