POM Material Summary
Acetal is an easily machinable plastic commonly used in moving, precision parts due to it's high tensile strength, mechanical toughness and low friction. Examples include gears, plastic zippers or door handles which all require components to slide against each other without difficulty. UV exposure will cause Acetal to become brittle and flaky.
