3D Printed PLA Material Properties - Polylactic Acid
3D Printed PLA Material Summary
PLA is a common biodegradable plastic used in 3D printing. It produces a more aesthetically superior product than other plastics due to the glossy appearance, colour availabilities and sharper detail. The downside is that PLA is very sensitive to temperature and is quite brittle. Filaments are available which can give a printed part a non-plastic appearance such as stone, metal and wood.
